User Interface Designer – TouchCommerce San Diego Office

To continue its growth, TouchCommerce is looking for an Interface Designer.
Position Overview
We seek a web interface designer with experience designing and prototyping top-notch consumer-oriented online interfaces. As the Designer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop the user experience of our products with a keen eye toward information design, navigation, visual layout, user interaction and overall usability.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and refine design concepts and produce mockups
* Design web-based UIs for reporting, product administration, etc.
* Design, implement and deploy reporting, administration and chat client UIs
* Translation of business requirements into technical specs and UI implementation
* Documenting new features and existing features
* Working with business to translate ideas into real-world solutions
* Debugging and maintaining applications
Job Qualifications
* Two to five years of web UI design experience
* Ability to balance multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
* Excellent understanding of web application usability concepts
* A solid grasp of graphic design and use of typography
* Strong HTML/DHTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
* Proficiency in the following applications: Adobe Photoshop and/or other UI mockup and prototyping tools
* An excellent eye for design detail
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills
* A portfolio, wireframes or links to a portfolio of examples of your website design work is required for consideration for this position - send with resume
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
